Trip to Storvik with FOGG Gildeskål and Ingrid Brandth

This week we had the pleasure of spending a few days with the girls at FOGG Gildeskål along with shoe designer Ingrid Brandth. During the next year we will be making a shoe or possibly a collection along with Kastel shoes (who unfortunately was unable to join us this week) Next time hopefully..

On Tuesday we invited the girls to join us here at Norskin so that they could have a look at our production and our facilities.

Ingrid was thrilled to see the skins live.

We thought she looked smashing in the production attire, especially with the hat.

After our tour at Norskin we drove out to Storvik in Gildeskål where we got to have a sneak peak at FOGG´s flagship store.

Gildeskål truly is a gorgeous place, the mountains and coastal line really complement each other and the views are breathtaking, even in the winter months. We were invited to for dinner at Gøril´s home, a charming house right on the coastline.

On Wednesday we visited Salmon centre at Inndyr, we were met by Marianne and Randi who showed us around the facilities and gave us a run through of how the production works and what they offer the public. We were meant to head out with the RIB to see GIFAs production but the winds were too strong so we were recommended not to go.

Instead we got some lovely liqorice made by Jentene på tunet, and Marianne had made some cinnamon rolls ,this made up for the fact that we were unable to head out on the RIB and we were more than happy to stay there and chat with the girls.

The Salmon centre is definitely worth a visit, read more here

All of us at Salmon Centre Gildeskål

As you can see behind us are lots of salmon swimming around in the tank. This is truly an interesting place for both kids and adults.

After our trip to Inndyr we went back to Storvik and had a look at the beautiful scenery before we headed back home and parted ways with the girls. We look forward to the year ahead and can’t wait to see the project evolve and meet up again with team fishskin shoe 2023-24 :)
