Norskin Materials obtains ISO Certifications 9001 and 14001

Monday September 5th 2022, Norskin Materials obtained the ISO 9001(quality) and ISO 1400(environment). The company started implementing a strategy towards these certifications in 2020.

- I recently graduated within process engineering, so for me this was an exciting challenge, and I learned a great deal working towards these certifications. The company have put in a lot of hours implementing the standards, exploiting all available resources and looking for areas to improve on´

Guidance from KUPA

Norskin Materials received guidance from KUPA, - a company specializing in helping small, and established organisations implement quality and management systems meeting the ISO standards. An ISO-certification can open several markeds for the company. In Norskin Materials case this certificate is quite important when breaking into international markets.

What’s next for Norskin Materials

The ISO certifications are a part of the companies plan for future growth. - With these certifications for Quality and environment, we can show our clients and consumers that we are a serious supplier. The steps we have taken have given us a good base for our next project as we plan to apply for the LWG – Leather Manufacturer Audit, says Kari Nesse Johnsen.

Sustainability is one of the main drivers behind the establishment of Norskin Materials, by exploiting resources already available , and by creating workspaces and added value to the society.
